The so-called (but really not) SAFE Banking Act has come back from the dead, revived by the U.S. House of Representatives and sent to the U.S. Senate.
It was inserted into the HEROES Act -- a federal stimulus bill designed to help the nation’s recovery.
As you may recall, the SAFE Banking Act would give the marijuana industry open access to the nation’s financial system.
But once again the SAFE Banking provision -- despite its name -- includes zero protections for kids. Therefore it shouldn’t be included in the HEROES Act.
